Storm A. Walton (nee Myers), 71, of Oakmont, passed away peacefully with family by her side, surrounded by her personal art and paintings on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. She was born on July 9, 1952 in Ossining, New York, the daughter of the late Joan H. Russell.
Storm was a true Artist with a passion for painting, creativity beyond imagination, and an artist’s eye that could transform ordinary things into unique one of a kind keepsakes. She had a kind and generous heart and was one to never say no to any request. Her eccentric free spirit was loved by everyone she met. She was a wild woman with a ‘heart of gold’ paint, with which she decorated the world. She graduated from Franklin Regional High School as part of its Class of 1971 and attended the University of Pittsburgh. Her adventurous spirit led her to many careers in her life!
Beloved Mother of Joni (Chad) Coons of Springfield, IL, David (Kim) Walton of Pittsburgh, PA, and Amanda Walton of Pittsburgh, PA. Storm was the proud Grandmother of 5 grandchildren Michael (Caitlin), Kirsten (Larry), David John, Alexander, and Teagan, and 4 great grandchildren Rowen, Georgia, Navy, and John Scott. She also is survived by three brothers, Russell (Paula) Myers of Upper St. Clair, PA, Mark (Joyce) Myers of New City, NY, and Troy (Christine) Myers of Orlando, FL, along with seven nieces and nephews and three great nieces plus another on the way.
A private burial service will be held in Mellenville, NY.
